Applying 20th century set theory to a Canton pop song.
Pitches and harmony has been redone. Rhythm and melodic contour is kept to leave traces.
Challenge is: nearly the whole melody has to redo because in Canton songs, the melodies typically take the lexical tones into consideration. Efforts has to be made to preserve their pitch contours and relative pitch heights to in order to make the context recognisable.
