Course Description

Poetry and music has the power to express emotions, create cohesion, and suggest an identity. They have great educative power, and are expressive mediums that have highly therapeutic effects on the mind.

In this workshop, children will be guided to find inspirations from their senses and ecouraged to be extra attentive to details and their surroundings. Through the metaphorical description of the senses, we can convey a whole universe of meaning. 

Learning Outcomes

Upon completion of the workshop, students will be able to:

1.  understand the basics of poetry

2.  demonstrate the ability to be creative and think out of the box

3.  finish a poetry art that will be displayed at the Carrickfergus Museum in Dec 2023
